I'd probably do better to have the Skenes and Ohtani cards here graded than the Canseco :lmao:
For sure.

But wait, I just remembered you are rich AF. Don't you make more than the rest of GL combined?

Be baller and get them ALL graded, who gives a shit how many come back sub-9. Bound to have a few gem mint 10 bangers in there if you send off 50+

I need to go through everything first. Probably will do more like 100 cards.

I have no idea what everyone else here makes, and I never said I made more than everyone combined (I definitely don't).

You don't obtain wealth doing stupid things with money typically. So I make a habit of trying to make some smart choices when it comes to finance.

For instance I have 28% of my income taken out each check to my 401k and have been doing that since 2007. Company matches up to 8, which I think is what most people put in.

I know you didn't say that, was an overstatement. Probably don't, sure, DEFINITELY don't... who knows it might be close 😂

cubs pca card

Pulled a nice color match PCA this fall.

I inadvertently went all in on White Sox rookie catcher Edgar Quero. Not really all in but won a half dozen auctions for his 1990 auto from topps update and in a variety of numbered parallels. NBD if he stinks (i think im in for $75-100) but if he put up 30+ homers 100+ RBI and slashed .280/.400/.500 every year for the next 20 years that'd be nice.

Maybe he can learn to pitch?

I had a Don Mattingly rookie card (Dunross), it was worth like $100 at one point when I was in high school and I tried to sell it and the store said he would give me a dollar for it since everyone was selling them.

I had a 1997 traded set which had some good rookies. The popular kids started being mean to me for picking on Seth Kramer so I gave it to him as a way of apologizing, then they were all nice to me.

I hope Seth is well.

I was gonna say I'll pre order a jumbo of each flagship release 1,2 and update and that's it for sealed product. But fuck that. Ill just buy $600 worth of singles a year... maybe will rip some hangers or something as I come across them.

Bought another Quero. Now I feel like I am just trying to prop up the market.

Makes me wonder if you could corner/control the market on some of these rookie autos. Obviously not the unnumbered variety (or all varieties) but I think i might now have 3 of the /99 Quero 35th anniversary cards. I've paid between 12-20 for each.

I guess you still need the guy to make it big to have any worth.

People have tried that.
