For the few posters on Gamelive that are married or have been married, are you happier now then when you were single?

Even for the divorced sect, when you were married, were their things you wish you could have back in your present life?

Trying REALLY hard to understand what is more enjoyable. Empty sex or sex with a woman that will probably hate me 80% of the time.

To answer the 13 year-old question im indifferent I guess? Hard to take a slice of my 22 year old life and compare it to my 42 year old life. The sex life is worse and that's a major bummer. But its awesome to have a built in friend where ever and whatever I do. Also tag teaming adult shit (houses, finances, kids, dying parents) is awesome. I think staying single is like keeping a large share of a really good pie, whereas getting married is like getting a medium share of a larger (maybe more boring) pie. The cost/benefit might come out differently for different folks.

100%. Was just gonna post about house buying too (but couldn't find the thread where it was previously discussed).

MIillenials/GenZ always say "boomers be like, work harder lazy git. And i say, yeah you bought a house for $25k, jobs were plentiful, blah blah blah."

They're acting like our boomer parents didnt get a job digging a ditches or buy a house 1,000,000 miles from city center where the crime was high or their neighbor was a fucking bear.

That's the funny thing, it's both.

The boomers are right about this generation's lack of work ethic, and their sense of entitlement. And the kids are right about how absolutely fucked they are by the current state of the economy, and how the boomers' sense of entitlement contributed to it.

But both sides typically just want to blame it all on the other, like we don't ALL suck.

I mean, it's Illinois, so why would you want to get married?
Just from lots of life experience, the majority of women don’t want to go to a party with you and end up with a conversation that goes like this:

Friend of yours that’s never met your girlfriend: “oh it’s so nice to meet you Tron’s girlfriend”

Tron’s girlfriend: “It’s nice to meet you too Tron’s friend!”

Same friend: “so how did you meet Tron?”

Tron’s girlfriend: “we met on Bumble!”

Same friend: “that’s awesome! How long have you been dating Tron?”

Tron’s girlfriend: “14 years”
