Would like to find out his mum's status and how he is doing.

Has anyone talked to him?
 
No we haven't heard from him. I hope things are ok.

Consider me officially "heard from".

My mum, unfortunately, passed away after a stroke. I am well past the feeling sorry for myself stage and have spent the last week or so with my dad (who can barely boil an egg for himself). I have a lot to catch up with but will be fully back in action tomorrow.
 
I'm so sorry to hear that, Dunder. You and your family will be in my prayers and without a doubt your Mom is one of God's most beloved angels in Heaven.
