Not sure about the NTC, but they gave him way too much money. TSN is reporting a 3 year deal averaging $5.25 million per season.

I give Datsyuk a TON of credit really. The guy is a team player and like Yzerman has accepted his role. If Datsyuk focused on Offensive only then he'd be up there with Stamkos and Malkin type of players.
