As it turns out, my sources were accurate. Rumors have been swirling over the past few weeks indicating that "Big Mike" Lynche was the contestant booted from the show. As it turns out, Justin Guarini look-alike Chris Golightly, was the contestant who received the boot. Golightly has been replaced by Tim Urban, a 20 year old bar and restaurant singer from Duncanville, TX.

The reason for Golightly's exit is currently unknown.

Very interesting. But I would never, ever bank on the top 5 right after the odds are released.

I will post a bunch of jpegs that show how a mock results scenario effects scoring of the contest later tonight if I ever get done with doing the turbo Tax thing. The accountant dude did them already, which is early this year, and I'm checking to see if Turbo Tax can get me more, or if it gets me the same. I did this last year, and it was pretty close. As in I didn't need to give the extra $450 to the accountant. Of course the accountant got about $400 more, so it would have been a wash. Well this year, I had all kinds of differnent income, and even had Unemployment compensation for 2 weeks, so we shall see who does better.
