This Day in Canadian History.

It's Roll Up The Rim season - I won 2 free coffees this week.

:gold:

RIP big guy

How did the coffee franchise end up with his name?

He founded it, with a partner. I don't think the Horton family is involved anymore.

How did Plommer miss this?

Who says I missed it?

Tim Horton was a Maple Leaf.

His wife owned shares and then sold them just prior to the brand going big.

I've been by the original location in Hamilton Ontario many times.

I usually stop and bow down.

I would.

If I knew where Hamilton was.

And had any reason to go there.

Were Timbits invented before the accident?

No! They were created Feb 21, 1974.

Timbits were what the police and ambulance people were picking up on the side of the highway near St. Catharines Ontario the day Tim Horton wrecked his car.
