I voted after work today. I went to my normal polling place at the Fire Station only to be told I had to go to the church on the "other" side of town. The Fire Station is on the black side of town and the church is on the white side of town. Now before you go all old school redneck hating that is just a general statement based on the predominant numbers. Both sides are mixed but the north side is still mainly black and the south side is mainly white.

Anyway on my way out of the Fire Station I ran into one of our commissioners. She is a black lady and a heavy Obama supporter. I told her I would swap votes with her. I would vote for this democrat county commissioner if she would vote for Romney. She was less than accommodating.

Anyway after reviewing my election sheet it turns out I voted 98% republican. The only democrat I voted for was the current female Sheriff of Alachua (Ah-lot-choo-ah NOT Al-La-choo-ah) County. After further inspection though it turns out I voted 100% whities.

Not that there isn't anything wrong with that.

 
How about reducing the size of government, reduce the amount of excessive spending, how about no government bailouts, maybe social programs that are solely for those in need and not just open doors for those unwilling to go out and earn a living?


As far as taxes go, sure they are high and they tend to be unfair but we can't get any of the powers that be behind something that actually works like a consumption tax. So if I am gonna be over taxed I at least want to see those taxes going towards ( i hope at least) fixing some shit that's broken and not simply enabling a portion of our society that is just too fok'n lazy.
