The cooler comes on the river and I’m now $7K invested on a soccer match that means nothing to either of the teams involved (this includes extreme likelihood that USA rests its best players).

I’ve left it up to my sons as far as the next move

The only caveat being that I’m not throwing more money into the WC.
Will the US sit their starters?

Had a great time.

Stayed in Torrance on Sepulveda Blvd. My sons loved Torrance. The weather was perfect. I can’t describe to you how much worse the weather is where I am now as opposed to Los Angeles.

We visited Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Westwood Village, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and obviously Inglewood where SoFi Stadium is.

SoFi is massive and a sight to see. We took a Lyft to the Hawthorne/Lennox station and took a bus the rest of the way to SoFi with other WC fans. We arrived 4.5 hours before the start of the match.

It was a very entertaining match and it was great to see Pulisic and McKennie. Could have really done without the loss in the (almost) TENTH minute of stoppage time. It the game meant essentially nothing. Turkey and their fans celebrated like they won the WC.

Getting back to Torrance was an adventure. We walked about 20 blocks toward Torrance and then grabbed an Uber. Stoped at In N Out on the way back to the hotel. It was packed with USA fans.

My sons loved the thrift stores in LA, the boutique coffee shops and especially the weather.

We’ll remember the trip for the rest of our lives. I was sad to be back home. Easily worth the $7K.
