Crime rate is included in the "Health and Safety" column, which rates Memphis a "1" 😂.I guess it's an interesting list. For sure it depends on what metrics you are using. I don't see crime rate on here anywhere, which does explain some things. Memphis? Lol.
I don't think San Francisco or Seattle are nearly as bad as most say. My cousin lives in the Seattle suburbs and absolutely loves it. Same way with Chicago. You really just need to know where the fuck you are hanging out.
That being said, I would not move my family from Arlington Heights, IL (not listed) to Chicago, IL for any reason. It would make zero sense. Especially since it was the #1 rated city to live in Illinois this year (although I disagree with that rating). But anyway, it's always interesting to see these lists. Ultimately it comes down to what you value in a city, since every family is different.

Yeah good clear up, that was what I was trying to highlight but did a bad job of haha.Low numbers (the 1 Memphis got for crime) is a bad thing on this list, boys.
Irvine gets the best rating as it has the highest number (see top right). Just wanted to clear that up.

In fairness to Irvine, this chart isn’t advertised as SUPER KOOL HIP PLACES FOR 20 and 30 SOMETHING DINKS TO LIVEI basically grew up in Irvine, spent most of my life within 10-15min of it in various directions.
Pretty bland and cookie cutter place.
If it's not safe, it just doesn't belong on the list. I mean, as a parent why live in a dangerous place regardless of other factors? It's an all or nothing from me anyway.Crime rate is included in the "Health and Safety" column, which rates Memphis a "1" 😂.
But that column does seem kind of arbitrary, hard to know without a better breakdown of weighting of each factor.
