Matty Rain's 2024 MLB Betting Thread

Matty, I like the Phillies too because the Pirates are about the worst 9-3 team you'll ever see but Jared Jones' xFIP is substantially lower than his ERA. I may stay away from this one because of that.

Talking to son last night and said Phils have to take 3 out of 4 but told me this Jones kid has 17 KK in 11 Innings. Don't go by me but I have watched all the games and keep swinging at plenty of pitches not in zone. Also on like 3-1 2-1 counts swinging at bad strikes. Last 2 games 13 KK both games. The team in the off season keep saying, we will be more selective but not seeing yet!

Better per game than 2023 and lol at 2022 but still .....

@Matty though if/when Phils do have more patience .... damage will be done!
Remember, I have good write-ups/stats with my CBB plays. We all know how the majority of that works out! :facepalm
 
Yeah I'm not concerned about the Phillies. Model projects them to 88.6 wins which is basically in line with the consensus.
 
Phillies down to -135 definite no play for me in fact I may go Pirates now.
