I would imagine this Ohtani/his interpretor/sports betting thing could get REAL messy, boys

@roguejuror, if you're not already following the Ohtani story, I think you will find it very interesting.

This guy on Twitter has a theory that I like:

ohtani the bettor

Glad we don't have this distraction in NY the guy is just not worth it.

Ohtani just hit a ball 383 feet for an out. A HR in 13 MLB ballparks.

Guy had a $4.5M line of credit? As an interpreter? Ohtani had to be involved. If Ohtani is involved and a single Angel's game was wagered on they gotta toss him out of the sport.

26 runs scored in todays only regular season game

If he's involved with betting one of his own games he's out for life.

If he's involved in betting on a single MLB game he's out for a year.

If he's involved in betting on any sports with an illegal bookie commissioner gets to decide his punishment (maybe 50 games?).

The rules are mostly clear.

Do we seriously think that Shotime has been betting on games?
I’m not sure. But it’s bigger than we think or the explanation/excuse wouldn’t have changed. Went from he bailed his buddy out of a gambling debt to money was stolen.

Oh man. I'm afraid it makes perfect sense.

I'm calmly letting this play out a bit before moving forward with an indictment

Baseball’s version of Operation Slapshot.
The reporters knew exactly what to ask, wonder who fed them the info
