We don't need credit. No one needs credit. I like it, it makes things easier, but it makes you a slave.

They're not going to come after us for $600.

I get this though.

I also don't need credit, nor do I want it, but I'm not rich and the ability to get something - specifically a vehicle, on credit comes in handy. For some, credit cards are the devil.

Insurance actually hurts you. They jack the prices up if you have insurance. I had a thread about going in to the hospital for some pain I had in my abdomen. The hospital gave me an 80% discount for being a cash customer. It brought the bill down from over $8k to just under $2k. All I had were a bunch of x-rays, a blood test, an MRI, and an ultrasound. Personally, I'd drop the insurance and then give yourself sole bargaining power. As far as not paying it, it's a bit of a toss-up for me. Part of the reason the prices are so high may in fact be because so many people decide to bail on paying their bill. The prices they do ask are beyond exorbitant though.

I'm in Australia at the moment. Well for the past couple of years now actually. I get shipped around the world for work and this was the latest stop. I'm definitely ready to move on though - the novelty's truly worn off and each day it sinks in even more about how far away from home I actually am especially now that I have my son.

And yes, cunt is used quite regularly here. Not as much as fuck but probably a very close second. Most women don't take offense to it though.

Australia and NZ are on our short list. We belong to a website called http://www.couchsurfing.com and have hosted a ton of Aussies and Kiwis. They love to travel and we have many a couch to choose from when we decide to go.

Our friends (she's from Vegas, he's from NZ) that are living in Hawaii right now probably will go back to NZ in November. We might join them for awhile. Mr. X mainly bets baseball for a living so after the season ends, we're free.

I used to work as a graphic designer. Now, I feed Mr. X and occasionally do the dishes. Sometimes I do troubles, but lately I've been very good.

Unless you have incredible bank, somewhere down the road you'll need credit. That $600 non-payment will cost far more than that.
