Where should I move?

Move to Oregon, Durito. I'm headed back to live in the Portland/Corvallis area within the next year hopefully, and I think maybe some other posters are thinking about relocating there. Huge protections on freedom of speech and a streamlined voter initiative process make it one of the most democratically run states in the Union. Not that I'm saying the United States is the best place in the world to be, but Oregon's got a really pleasant blend of moderate climate and <2 hour travel times to either snowy mountains or the vast Pacific. Land is cheap and the inability of the government to devalue your property through zoning without compensation is unique. Medical marijuana state too, with urban dispensaries now.
