Love how the middle aged fitness set calls skipping breakfast and then having a late lunch a fast. Its cute.

But the middle aged fast I do occasionally is no calories after 9 PM and then no calories until 7 PM. It’s not nothing. Well if you’ve never done it maybe you think it’s nothing?

As long as a Gamelive poster who says it’s a stretch or adorable has actually done a 22 hour fast I’m cool with it being called adorable. For me, I was VERY hungry from noon to 3PM the first 4 or 5 times I did it. Uncomfortably hungry.

no calories. No coffee creamer. No apple juice. No sweetened ice tea.
 
I find the 18 hour fasts to be easy and enjoyable (other than missing my half n half with my morning coffee).

You called it 18 hours. Dinner done at 6pm eat lunch at noon. Thats skipping breakfast. No exaggeration for funnies. Am I doing wrong maths or missing something? Or are you just gonna change it to 22 hours now? Its one of those.

My bad if I said 18 hours.

I’ve done 18’s but I prefer to stretch out the “fast” (lol) to 21-22 hours.
 
No fight, im just cranky... skipped breakfast this AM.

Fwiw im sure something way less than 18hrs causes some physiological change in the body. I have never intentionally fasted for any amount of time though im very confident ive gone 18hrs before due to work, baby, spousal illness or some combination thereof.
