Stumbled over here after Monkey had it out on a certain forum with regards to a certain sportsbook owner - very enjoyable read. I also always click on responses from people like durito and tomato over there. This place seems to have a high concentration of quality posters, so I no longer have to filter through 95% of the threads on the first page to find anything interesting.

I have a tiny tiny bankroll related to sports gambling. I first approached things from any sort of scientific manner last fall with the basketball season - I tried to make a model based upon opponent adjusted offensive and defensive efficiencies, which didn't fail, but I soon figured out was fruitless once I learned more about the gambling market. Now, I chase stale lines on Bodog.

I'm more into the challenge of trying to crack this whole gambling thing than actually making money (since I don't have any to really stake with).

Live in northern virginia in the USA. I played futbol growing up, but do not currently follow it - although I'm lacing up and getting ready to jump on the bandwagon in a week.

My stats are poor both in terms of raw %s and especially when adjusting for fat girls and home-field advantage.
