Fair. Wasn’t considering the post-pandemic part.

I’ve noticed how rental cars are stupid expensive now, so not surprised it’s tougher to find a good cheap car.

Is it safe to say that you can get reliable used cars these days for $1500-3K ?

I feel like that’s a thing.
Mayyyybe in like Wichita, Kansas.

Post-pandemic used car prices have soared

Yeah. It's crazy. Thought I'd need to replace my catalytic converter on my 04 Toyota Camry to pass a smog test, which would have been like a $1500 fix.

Years past thats a clear no-brainer get rid of the car and buy another one, silly to put that much into an old car. But after looking at the market I was ready to pay the 1500 as replacing it with anything remotely comparable was gonna cost a shit ton more.

Sad state of affairs. Used to be easy enough to get a decent car for 1500-2500 but not anymore.

Yeah it's crazy right now. We had the misfortune of our Subaru blowing up in the middle of nowhere Kansas. The used Subaru market in Denver is so crazy that someone paid $2600 for our twelve year old piece of shit forrester with a blown engine.

Shopping for a replacement wasn't fun, though. Everything is thousands over blue book. Finally got a good deal on a Hyundai with a rebuild title from a theft.

Did you tow it back Colorado? How much that cost?

We rented a uhaul and a flatbed trailer one way and towed it back ourselves. Pretty cheap.

A tow truck would have been around $1000 tow.

If you haven't spent it all on bitcoin, nows the time to scale back in to the broad market.

Back on the AMRN train after the recent Sarissa coup.

I like BP. Down slightly as of late, but I'm sticking with it...

BP getting crushed so far today…

@Boner_18 what's your opinion of all these banks in the US going out business all of a sudden, Credit Suisse over in Europe?
