Help, yes. Telling the cops that he's threatening cops is not help.

Steve's isn't a threat to anyone but steves and some unguarded beers.

And thinking jail is some good alternative to being on the streets is naïve.

I just can't believe people are congratulating some guy for saying he thought about offering steves a place to stay and instead calling the cops on him without making any effort to see if he's actually a threat or what it is he might be drunk singing,

i agree about the congratulations, x

snitches get stitches

i do hope steve(s) gets the help he needs - but who am i to say

Nice thought brother Kato but as I'm sure most of us know that Steve is a Hugh Longshot to get straightened out.
This is just another episode of many where he is getting beaten by his demon's and mental health.
Nobody here will be surprised when the inevitable terrible news of his demise comes.

It frankly doesn't matter too much that it was a song lyric. I was mortified for steves when I saw that video. I mean you've got to have better judgment than to be screaming LETS GO START SOME FIRES and LETS GO SHOOT SOME PIGS at the top of your lungs in public. And it isn't like he didn't know better, he even said in the thread "Fyi I would DEFINITELY have been arrested for this where I got that dui".

Apparently this guy has known him for a long time and considers him a threat to himself and/or others. Steve (or a court-appointed lawyer) should be able to sort out easily enough that it was a song lyric. I'm not saying reporting this was the right move, but I don't really think it was the wrong one either.

The guy specifically said he does not know steves. And he clearly doesn't.

Really shaking my head at you guys. Yeah I'm sure they'll have things sorted out real soon. Someone's working hard to get steves out of this. They've probably got Beck on the phone right now.

Ah okay, misread/understood.

I mean yeah, it's weak. I'm not really in the "celebrating" camp. I just "get it".

MrX, what would you have done instead? Nothing?

I feel bad for not doing anything. I haven't watched or read 90% of Stevie's posts on here because I know they're all disturbing. I took Brother 52's post as meaning that he called in for a welfare check, nothing more.

Yes, I would have done the bare minimum of not having him thrown in jail.

It's a pretty achievable bar.

Plot twist: Brother 52 is Stevie.

(Just kidding. I think?)

I think it's pretty clear it was not a welfare check. He's playing up what a threat steves was because of the video, and I'm sure let the police know about the video.

Yeah see I thought he was a concerned friend/acquaintance who had other inside steves knowledge.

If this is just some random person on the internet calling the police to report another random person on the internet for that video, I completely understand your outrage.

Anyone have ideas on what WE here could do to help him?
Something specific and serious.

I mean like chip in to get him housed.
