Sad to hear.

I forwarded the news to bread.

Guru rip

plommer, what’s the story behind you going from very occasional poster to POWER POSTER?

Is it as simple as VIRUS SPARE TIME?

I think the spare time is a big part of it yes. Also gamelive doesn't have annoyingly stupid posters and there is no arguing (e-battles) between Dems and Republicans cluttering up the forumlike there is at other sites.

What you have to do Plommer is just forget about other people's political opinions. It's meaningless in the scheme of things. And you can't change their opinions anyway (unless they are 19 years old or something). I used to debate politics all the time with a good friend of mine, back maybe 10 years ago. He said to me one day, "You want to just stop discussing politics altogether? I think our friendship will be better if we just remove politics from it entirely." So we did. And he was right.

Oh I hear you pal, loud and clear - couldn't agree more about changing others political opinions. Regarding the forums though its different. If there was actual respectful debate It might be tolerable but its never civil online. A political topic may start out normally but then the discussion inevitably degrades into mud slinging, name calling and insults. The goal of each side seems to be to piss off/annoy the other.

They are never productive. Never.

Oh yeah I remember the Caddo shooting story now.

what happened to the guy with eyebrow tats though?

My father is currently not speaking to me because I told him CNN and Fox News are not in the reporting news business, they're in the political vehicle business (he is radical ultra-liberal).

What a piece of work that guy is.

It's just not worth it, they are political opinions. Ruining lifelong relationships over politicians (who don't care about you) or the media (who also don't care about you) is not worth it. I'm not saying it's intentional - in fact - I know it's not. It just happens.

This is good advice. When someone asks me a political opinion (or more likely tries to troll me into exposing my fairly conservative views) I usually respond, "do you really want to discuss this? I mean I have a view, and you probably know what it is... but ultimately I don't REALLY care that much."

Is this true? You should patch that shit up. Life's too short.

Problem is in my life there are people whose identities are defined by their political views (or more accurately their following of the politics). Like sports or horses or even (right now) diy house shit defines my person at the moment if you asked these people "whats new?" 80% of their personality outside of work is political news. I guess its sad, but they would probably say the amount of my brain occupied by sports is just as trivial, or even more so.

Last I checked Michael "Ocean Brows" Segura was still reppin' Seffner. He occasionally checks in with his local corrections department.

Absolutely true.

I tried, Dave. But my Dad's life revolves around his hatred of Trump. I don't like Trump, either. But my Dad got super butt hurt because I criticized CNN.
