I've been a month-to-month kind of asshole all my life MrM, I'm terrible with money. Granted my business is actually booming right now - pure stroke of luck. And even if it didn't Canada has a pretty big safety net.

They're not. People just talking out of their ass. Remember, stopping the spread is not option, even for the experts who want an 18 month lockdown.

Shutdown a country for a long period is not erring on the side of caution. It's never been done before.
A. It's a push to realign society by different factions.
B. It's a push by a propagandized public to err on the side of fear, cowardice and hateful control of others

When your entire stance is "anyone who takes this lying down is falling right into their hands", it absolutely is an argument of who's doing what. If you dont want to do anything or take action or put you or your family at risk that's fine.

But then you can't in the same breath act like you are morally or intellectually superior to others that are falling in line. If anything, you'd arguably be worse than they are; many of them are ignorant to the "they" pulling the strings behind the curtains. If you see the big picture and still do nothing, isn't that worse?

You say if everyone were like you there'd be no lockdown. Please, explain. Give people who want to join your cause a chance to end this thing.

127 murders in Chicago this year 124 Covid deaths in Illinois today.

( i'd guess that's about 100 at least from the greater chicago area)

i'm not in the gang banger demographic or the very old and unhealthy demographic either.

But I guess I could get lasting lung or heart damage if i'm unlikely.

I think more importantly for us in the near future.

gang bangers are not disrupting the supply chain of Meat and Produce, or killing of nurses and doctors

those who seek to impose lockdown underestimate (or don't care) the damage and loss of life it causes, while painting themselves as caring about mortality. They are cowardly and like to control others. I don't seek to impose anything on anybody.

And yes I do think the push from media, and people in public eye was way, almost unanimous, pushing for lockdowns. Only now, over the last week I'm seeing some voices of reason.
And those people protesting in Michigan totally support them.
