Merci Matty. I have watched a few of them. Will look for the rest.

I think Ozark's intention is to one-up Breaking Bad in terms of evilness. We may already be there. Jesus fuck.

[Jacob] Can you believe he spent $10,000 on that toy hotel and paddle boat? The man thinks he can wow people into acquiescence.

[Darlene] So did Hitler. He held onto his power 'cause no one stood up.

[Jacob] People ain't afraid of autocrats. People are afraid of being different from their neighbors. I think we are actually preserving democracy in the fine state of Missouri.

Just got around to watching the most recent Better Call Saul. Last few episodes had me getting a bit restless but this feels back on track. The opening scene in Saul Goodman's office went a long way for me.

Here's what I care about: Jimmy/Saul Goodman, Mike and Gus. I care about plans and schemie stuff and I care about Walter White.

Here's what I care much less about: Kim.

About the same as Kim. There have been a lot of clever little twists and schemie bits involving both Nacho and Kim. The creative people making the show are excellent and they come up with ideas for everything.

But unfortunately, for me, Nacho and Kim are kinda just filler. High quality filler - but filler.

Fun fact - guy who plays Nacho is a Montrealer who speaks perfect Québécois French. Born in Québec City.

Finished Ozark S2. Not bad at all. S3 is going to be the Wendy & Helen show.

I see so many rednecks these days on the streets but no way I'm going to use that word again in public!

Prediction: Lady Gaga will get an Oscar nomination for Best Actress this year.

Not saying she will or will not deserve it - no idea at this point - but with the direction the Oscars are going - like this new category for Best Super-Popular Hype Film That Is In No Way Good Enough For Any Kind Of Real Critical Award - or whatever they're calling it - and the push they are making to be more engaging of the masses - Lady Gaga seems inevitable.

[Wendy] They make it seem like there are two clearly marked paths with flashing signs pointing out each way: sin, redemption. I mean, they tell you Adam and Eve knew that they could eat from every single tree in that garden, except one. But the truth is, evil comes when the righteous path is so hidden it just looks like there's only one way out. The truth is Adam and Eve probably grabbed that apple because they were fucking starving, and it was the first tree they saw.
