What don't you like about the food Cougar? I think some people just like to dismiss the chain cuz it's easy to assume they suck, and you always should opt for the more expensive options. I'm not saying you are one of them. I just know how some people are. I have some in my family.

I also don't remember hating Red Lobster the one or two times I have been there.

Still banging the bartender next door.

Red Lobster and Olive Garden are both Darden.

Darden treats their employees like shit.

They sacrifice their employees happiness for bending over backwards to feed minorities with no taste buds cheap food.

"Boof" seating is preferred in all Darden restaurants. So is well done meat and frozen drinks.

So are 10% tips.

I like a good, authentic meal as much as the next person, but I am no food snob (unless I'm doing the cooking), but if it tastes good, and makes my belly full, then I'm a happy camper.

One things for sure, I've had worse.

Haven't been back to Olive Garden since I was 22, was on a date and stuck a bread stick down my pants trying to impress her. Little did I know she'd make a move on me very quickly. She yelled at me then left abruptly, very awkward scene. Only the one location has any memory of it I'm sure but I'm not risking it.

:lmao:

Ok the last time I went to Olive Garden (about 2 months ago) I got a sauteed shrimp dish and it was overcooked (rubbery) and not terribly well prepared. Just not a lot to get excited about. Bland. Like I said, the breadsticks are okay. Aside from that I have no use for it. If I can do better at home I usually do. And if you can't cook better than Olive Garden I'd suggest taking some cooking classes.

Yeah I hate "rubbery" shrimp. I'm not sure I could do better than Olive Garden. Maybe the ones in Denver are better. Why do you keep going back-the breadsticks? Have you ever put one in your pants like Bacon?

I like their salad. A lot.

I didn't think their salad was terribly good either. I don't keep going back IAG, this most recent visit was probably the first in about a decade.

I don't know, it's just my preference is all. My preference is to never go there again.

Obviously people like it because OG keeps it's doors open.

If you're ever in northern Illinois let me know. We'll do better than Olive Garden. Unless you insist on going there. And in that case I can give you directions.

Olive Garden says 1,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes sold out within 45 minutes. There was a slight hold up at minute 22 when poster Casperwaits bought 48 of them then said that was actually the work of a massage client who was at his place and would not be paying. It says, however, that its social media team will be doing giveaways up to the start of the annual Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion on Sept. 22.

the best salad I ever had was at Hugo's Cellar 4queens. Considering what a dump downtown Vegas is in general that is one top notch restaurant.

waiter makes it in front of you. :

Hahaha. If I was travelling, or out with people I had just met, I wouldn't go to Olive Garden...but more because of the atmosphere. ..but there was one a block from where I used to work and the girls from the office liked go there. We went less often after the canned the lobster spaghetti. I think of it more of a lunch spot.

I think I just don't eat the type of Italian food that would allow me to recognize good/mediocre/bad. I am sure for those who do, it is like comparing a Bonanza to Nero's. But for me, it's fine as I'm not that big of an Italian food eater. The more I have thought about it, the more respected Italina places I have eaten at...(Rao's at Caesars in Vegas, Spezia, a few others I forget the names) but honestly I couldn't tell you what the differences were. Again, fairly unsophisticated palate I guess.
