I'm shocked that these other forums would "give heat" to a guy liking a restaurant better than another restaurant. shocked I tell ya

oh yeah jake t. reno, he caught shit in those silly "your favorite" or "the best" threads about food... people would comment on 5star places and jake would chime in with ravioli from olive garden :lmao: he could have just been trolling the fuck out of everyone, but it was funny

If you actually know anything about good Italian food Olive Garden is terrible.

Last time I went there I actually said out loud, "Why did we come here?"

Of course it was because someone else wanted it and liked it, but yeah it's bad. Breadsticks are ok but the actual meals aren't good at all. We are blessed here with a bunch of really good local Italian food here, so no one really goes to the Olive Garden.

I have seen lots of bashing on OG, but yet to understand what it is that is bad about it. Bad wine list. I understand that I guess. I'm not being snarky, I'm being stupid. I don't eat a lot of Italian food. We went to a high end Italian place at the resort in Cabo, but nothing really appealed to me. I think I ended up getting some type of steak.

All I remember having at OG besides soup/salad was that lobster spaghetti..and that was good.

I understand how easy it is to bash the chain. How do you guys feel about Maggiano's and Buca di beppo? I liked both those places..the atmosphere was better...I would have no idea how the food differed though.

Wouldn't surprise me if they were. For me it's simple when you have 20-30 better local options, you avoid chain restaurants.

Oh and I also don't like the food, so there's that.

I didn't even know Olive Garden had wine. Is it Franzia? Because that would be bad ass.
