I tried flying early AM a few years back after the Super Bowl and it wasn't pretty. I posted about it in one of my Super Bowl party threads.

Early morning flights always seem to make perfect sense when you're shopping around. Then on the eve of the flight you want to slap your old self across the face.

I have never taken one this early-ever. But yeah, it was a cyber Monday deal and I bit. I wanted to get in early though, and this was shortest duration with the connecting flight. It's going to kill me though. I used to be a morning person and I am not at all anymore...at all.

Although by Feb I'll probably be so ready to get out of So Dak for a while, maybe I'll even get there early.

I have not had a "real" vacation since 2007 (maybe Vegas once or twice) I used to get 4 weeks of vacation a year and I spent every bit of it flying home to see mom. I deserve this. Woot.

Yes MM! I can usually leave the house an hour before flight time and easily be checked in, thru security, and at the gate with plenty of time to spare. .

I would like to see that! Twice I had flights back from Vegas really hungover and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. They weren't even particularly early flights. On one, the cabbie actually had to pull over so I could throw up on the side of the road. I don't miss those days.
