Never really been my thing. I know friends who LOVE it. Do you dress up? Do you take your kids door to door? We got about 10 kids at mom's house last year which surpised me. In CO, only got a few. I think a lot of kids go to malls now which is weird to me.

My wife is right into Halloween and Xmas, but doesn't get dressed up for Halloween or anything. She decorates the home out outside etc. I take my oldest, but this year will be taking both which wil be a fokin nightmare for me. We don't get many kids. Maybe 35 - 40 kids, but the streets over get about 100+ kids to a house.

35-40 is quite a few to me. Of course mom lives in an older neighborhood and there are not many young families with kids nearby. When I was growing up the stream was constant. I remember enjoying it as a kid I guess.

What kind of candy do you give out? Obviously something you personally like in case there is a bit leftover. Seems like I always end up with Snickers, Reese's, Butterfinger, or a combination thereof...maybe kit kats...but almost always chocolate. Of course the greatest fear is you run out, so I always buy too much.

we have lines forming at the door in my neighborhood starting at 5pm and stopping when i run out of candy and turn off the light. i've never seen anything like it. i think every child in all the surround neighbordhoods comes to this one.

I stopped caring about Halloween a long time ago. Thoughts about it were replaced with thoughts about the vesting balance in my 401k, issues facing an increasingly global economy and what qualities I desire in a truly comfortable pair of socks. Growing up sure is fun.
