I am definitely going to be making some getting unstuck efforts ASAP. While I was very sincere about my ideas on the subject - and I have practiced what I preached many times - it is also true that I am not really using my own advice lately. Let myself get in a bit of a rut. Got out of some good important habits.

While that all happened for good reason at first, it has continued too long. Gotta reboot the system.

Probably won't make an official start until Sunday though. Got a bit matzo ball stuck in the middle of my Saturday in the form of a 3 year-old's birthday party surrounded by 4+ hours of driving around, getting my brother, taking him home. :rolleyes:

But Sunday - that's when the magic starts happening.

After which it will keep happening.
 
TODAY was the day. I had so much energy yesterday. I was wrong to assume I would have the same amount of energy today. I even cancelled the cleaning gal as I didn't want her in my way when I was a whirlwind of productivity and organization.

I'm laying in bed watching LIVE with Michael and Kelly.

Maybe the Red Bull just needs to kick in....or maybe I'll wait and let the magic happen Sunday. College football tomorrow, so nothing happening then. Drop dead date is Wednesday, as having company Thursday. Odds on IAG making significant progress today? I'll say -110....I'm still hopeful.
 
I have a job interview on Monday morning. That was part of my stuckness that I was talking about breaking out of. I have to get a job. Wish I didn't but I do.

I haven't even started with my unsticking techniques and already that happened. Very good sounding job.

Well that is simply unacceptable. While I am sure taking on a new employment venture would be a very good thing for YOU, I am a selfish, self aborbed type and can't think past who will be left to entertain and enlighten me on my stuck days at GL.

How do you intend to make GL magic happen by becoming a w-2er...(or the Canadian equivalent?)

I made it 15 minutes into my uninterrupted progress. fok me.



But seriously...good for you. I hope it works out as it should.
 
Location is great. About as good a commute as I can expect from my oddball location. Job responsibilities and company culture sound like about the best I could hope for. Salary is acceptable.

Big question will be overtime and what the expectations are around that. Not that I couldn't use the money that overtime brings but I don't want it. A little bit once in awhile, okay. But if it is a routine expectation ---> no dice.

Pretty much. Like I really wanted to go to Salvador, Brazil yesterday. That sort of thing used to be possible, just hop on the first flight. Now not so much.

I can relate. I wanted to go to Walgreen's this morning to pick up my Wellbutrin, but realized it would involve packing mom up in the car in 29 degree weather. Salvador, Walgreen's...Tomato, Tomato.


Where have you been anyway? Missed u in chat the last few.
