Paid posters.

Is cougar bait a paid poster at any forum? Where? How much does he make?

Same questions as above for chi_archie.

How much does/did jjgold get paid? Where is he now?

I say that at his peak JJ got paid 40-50k at sbr.

Someone please clarify this before we fight each other.

wasnt cougey modding at eog?

jj $800/m

archie is just a freak

hi bone bone

Vags Dave made around 40k.. So it doesn't seem that far-fetched.

Dave had to actually show up to an office.

For the hours JJ was putting he was making about $2 an hour even though he didn't have to actually show up at an office. And when he was not posting he was making the videos and talking on the phone. They pay better at a sweat shop in Bangladesh.

He chose to work that many hours for various reasons. No one expected anything close to that from him. He also told me before I was even working there - so maybe 3yrs or so ago now? - that he was told to slow down with posting, take a vacation from the forum and when he came back not to post as much. But again for a few reasons he chose not to.

I'll always remember talking to JJ on the phone during the 2009 SBR bash. After watching hundreds of his weird-ass videos, seeing his DIY sports ticker at his house, reading his passionate gambling schtick, here I am, holding Rogatien's burner phone to my ear, slightly giggly cause I'm talking to a posting legend... then JJ asks me:

-Matty can you smoke in the sportsbooks? I haven't been to Vegas in like 12 years.

I told him the same too many times. I was just saying that when you are talking about someone's compensation at any job you have to factor in how many hours someone is putting in to determine the per hourly rate.

Yeah I totally agree. When SBR suggested he take a vacation and then cut back - which in turn would've increased his hourly wage obviously - he didn't take it the right way so he didn't listen. It's remarkable when you think about him working another job full time as well. 18-19hrs every day of your life working in one form or another. Bloody crazy dude he is.

Archie could find it since I can't but you are on record saying JJ did not work for SBR on more than one occasion.

Am I? I'm pretty sure I agreed with him whenever he said he was an advisor or whatever who did weird jobs for John. Which he did in a roundabout way. Don't remember ever saying he didn't work there - at least not after I started to work there myself. Then again, I don't remember if I took a shower today so you could be right. Not sure what that has to do with anything though.

It only has anything to do with anything in the sense that we (I) have a need to trust. It doesn't mean anything but then again it does, ya know. It's a small thing but then again small things tend to add up.

I guess you may be thinking I am calling you a liar and that's not the case. You worked there so you had a vested interest to protect the facade, you and JJ are/were close so protecting him would be even more understandable, honorable even. Just seems avoiding is better than altering.

It's just a debatable issue that I picked up on.

I wanna dip my balls in wallys facade.

Nah I didn't think you were calling me a liar. I truly don't remember saying he didn't work there in some capacity; especially not after I started working there myself. Would be kind of stupid of me to do so since any poster with half a brain knew he was involved with SBR somehow. But he did like that schtick of pretending to fly places for John and look at houses for him or whatever so I very well could have went along with him being a special consultant or wtf he liked to call it when I first joined. However I do remember posting honestly and specifically about what he actually did at SBR maybe 6mths before he left because he talked to me about it after. I'll see if I can find the thread.
