Never had it but for 12 bucks the reviews sound like it was a nice blend, decent Bordeaux although some say this winery consistency under performs. What did you think Matty?

I like it! Decent medium body, rather dry, it's all fruit and a little bit of wood.. I like that flavor profile a lot, although I wish it was a bit bolder.

Call us a turbodork but we're pretty excited about this:

I read a lot of rave reviews about this tiny winery before going, and I was a wee bit intimidated to knock on their door yesterday. Their whole operation fits into a small barn - they have 40 barrels on one side of the barn, about a hundred cartons of 12 bottles stacked on the other side, then there's one round table in the back where the winemaker's Mom does the tastings. We got to taste their whole current selection. We weren't impressed with their 2008 Cab Sauv, but according to a bunch of experts it shows a lot of potential and is eminently ageable, so we got a bottle, along with two Shiraz, one Sauvignon Blanc, one Pinot Gris and one Pinot Noir. We're planning to drink one Shiraz in the near future, while the rest will be aged. The nice lady gave us a rough idea of each wine's aging potential.

Any of you wine connoisseurs own a wine cabinet/fridge? We want to do this properly and have no clue about storage except that bottles with a traditional cork need to be kept on their side.

Only 98 cases produced

91 points on the Cougar scale. Mostly I get pepper in the nose, with big raspberry and cherry taste right up front. Nice and smooth with a lingering finish. Got this bottle in Colorado and it can be purchased through Christianson Cellars.

Big fans of this lately. Not sure what it's made of, it's a blend from South Africa, 2009 Sequillo Red. Comes in a clear bottle for some reason.

9.3 Matty Rains. We're stocking it up for later consumption.
