My worst fucking nightmare....TV issues

left a few hours ago and everything was all good...came home and turned on the tv, only to find a black fucking screen laughing at me... little red light in the corner was blinking and i knew it meant something bad...

read online that most likely the circuit board is fucked... tv is a little more than 2.5 yrs old...60 inch lcd

so the indian i talked to from Toshiba said thats the normal issue with my model and it usually runs about a nickel or so to have fixed...

so, do i say fuck it and scrap it and go for something new like the 70 inch sharp lcd, or what i havent even looked at whats out there since i bought the one thats fucked up...

any suggestions?

I say pay the nickel. I've had mine about 3.5 years now. Spent a few hundred to get it fixed 1.5 years ago. Its still legit.

I'd pay to get it fixed. Both of my HDTV's are at least that old and I am fine with them.

Get a Samsung 55'' 3D TV!!! Can do video calls from it and shit. Parents might buy that for Christmas

get a smaller LED. Do you honestly need a TV that big? I get by just fine with a 48" I only watch movies on it though because the couch is so comfortable.

ill probably get it fixed..picture is still sharp as fuck...one of the better thin sets back when i got it...im just going to be pissed if it craps out on me in another year.

freefall, it fits really nicely in my living room... the ones in the office are 49's and the one in my room is an unmounted 60' ... i could go smaller in the bedroom if i needed to, but i wont go smaller in the living room... i usually have some people over to watch fights, football etc. and have a lot of company all the time... but like i said, i havent even begun to shop around and see whats new and whats out there, so ya never know

nah pavy...i was just thinking that if i was going to have to replace the set, i might as well look at all the options...

blitty, no. unfortunately the price is good, but the quality of the visios sucks compared to the sony, samsung, sharp and panasonics i looked at this morning...not even in the same league.
