Im not sure why I started thinking about this but I did and thought I would ask you guys what you think.
It might be social or geographical or it may be nothing more than a preference.
Do you call your mom, mother, mommy or mom?
Do you call your dad, father, dad or daddy?
Do you call your grandmother, grandma, grandmother, grams, granny, nanny or nana?
Do you call you grandfather, grandpa, grandfather, granddad, gramps or papa?
Do you call your aunt, aunt or auntie?
Ive always called mom, mom.
I rarely had to use but would use the term dad.
I call all aunts, aunts.
When I was young my mom remarried and so I had 3 grandmas at one time. My moms mom I called grandma, my dads mom I called nana (pronounced nan-naw) and my stepdads mom I called nanny.
