Since I dont and never have used drugs I often wonder about those that do. I dont wonder what it would be like to be high, Im more interested in the thought process of those that do. I got the idea for these questions after reading RayRays Easter story.

So have any of you ever introduced drugs to someone?

Did that person end up liking them and continue using them?

Did they develop a habit?

If not then do you at least now look back and regret or have a guilty conscience for having encouraged/initiated someones initial experience?

Did you originally try them of your own accord or did someone coax you into trying them?

Do you ever regret having starting them in the first place?

Can you not have a good time drug free or has it been so long since youve tried you just dont wanna try?

Did that person end up liking them and continue using them? Very much so, can't stop smoking.

Did they develop a habit? Yes

If not then do you at least now look back and regret or have a guilty conscience for having encouraged/initiated someone’s initial experience? Not at all

Did you originally try them of your own accord or did someone coax you into trying them? Family got me into drugs

Do you ever regret having starting them in the first place? Somewhat

Can you not have a good time drug free or has it been so long since you’ve tried you just don’t wanna try?

Wally, probably 80% of the US population is either on illegal or legal medication! Get with the program buddy!

Not everyone can be naturally happy like this guy dancing around! :wallay:

Wal if you want to fukk hot strippers you need to have cocaine available.

Cocaine = all the pussaaaay you can handle.

It's not an attempt to rehab anyone just curious. Mostly curious about introducing someone to drugs and guilty conscience. I realize people always have the freedom to just say no but there are situations where they might feel safe with someone they trust and try something they might otherwise have passed on.

Naturally if you are dealing I guess a conscience is less likely to come into play except for those who refuse to sell to kids which I hope there are at least a few that have some sort of standards.

I do drugs all the time and promote them any chance I get.

Jesus fok Wallay.

Matty, a for instance, Fiver wants to try cocaine and you have some and you let him try it. Now you didn't force it on him but you made it available to him and he likes it and starts using it regularly. Sure, he may have tried it anyways but do you personally hold any guilt being the one that gave it to him?

The situation doesn't revolve around promoting just a casual introduction.

Yes. But only when someone really begged me to...

Did that person end up liking them and continue using them?

Usually.

Did they develop a habit?

What's a habit? Drug use for the most part isn't what's portrayed on TV. Nobody that I've done drugs with is out in the back alley sucking dicks for rocks if that's what you mean.

If not then do you at least now look back and regret or have a guilty conscience for having encouraged/initiated someone’s initial experience?

No. It's ALWAYS their decision. Nobody is holding a gun to their head.

Did you originally try them of your own accord or did someone coax you into trying them?

The first drug I did was weed. I smoked a bowl riding around in a car with some of my friends in high school. My first thought was, "Wow. I'm high. But what's all the fuss about?"

Do you ever regret having starting them in the first place?

No. I'd probably "start them" again today if I hadn't already.

Can you not have a good time drug free or has it been so long since you’ve tried you just don’t wanna try?

This is a weird question to me. What is the definition of a "good time?" It depends on the setting. If I'm going to a club or concert, I'd rather have drugs because it enhances the experience. If I'm going to a baseball game, I'd rather just get drunk. If I'm going on a date, I'd rather just have a few cocktails. If I'm going to a pool party or a cookout, I'll probably be sober. If I'm going to the strip club, watch out.

Why would he feel guilty? You're holding some programmed negative connotation around them. Why would you feel guilty if he's enjoying it and it isn't a problem?

I think Wal buys into the "just say no" to drugs propaganda.

I have known people that have sucked dicks for "rock".
Not likely any of them were people you know so your statement is correct.

Focker, no doubt I have a prejudice but the question is still valid.

I dipped Copenhagen when I was coaching and at least during baseball season there would be a player or 2 who wanted to try it. I never allowed that to happen because (A) it's a disgusting habit, (B) if it doesn't make you sick it can become very addictive, (C) I couldn't have it on my conscience.

I don't have cocaine Wallay Balls.

People do as they please Wallay Balls. There's one high school buddy who asked me for the connect I had in Montreal, and I know he uses occasionally since then. Do I feel guilt? No. I told him all about the problem I quickly developed with cocaine and I made him swear he'd talk to me if he ever got himself into a similar situation. I did the whole rehab/therapy thing that lead me to being treated for social anxiety and I have no qualms about telling my story to like-minded people like that guy. I do feel some sort of obligation to keep in touch with him to discuss these matters, but then again I'm a way bigger faggot than most.

I feel very little guilt towards my short stint with drug abuse, cause it ended up being a (very) constructive phase of my life.

That be it.

Excellent post. It may have been off the cuff but it sounded very well thought out.

fiver, put this one in for POTM

This is so true..... no back your questions I did say no to drugs, they just didn't listen.

FWIW, the most intelligent people I know all use or have used drugs in the past. Seems counter-intuitive but it is absolutely true.

i have introduced a few girls to coke and x ... well, at least they said they never tried it...nobody has ever developed a problem...when they got extra cash, they do some...never been a big deal.

i agree with most of the situations the MF mentioned for doing the extra curriculars ...except i like some beers at cookouts and i almost always have a little bag of coke somewhere handy if im going to a cookout/ ballgame/drinks with buddies or date...etc ...cus ya never know...

i have gone months without touching drugs and i have gone months doing something daily... it simply makes social settings easier to tolerate (especially pain killers) and can make a good time turn into a great time...

with anything, moderation is key
