so it will be the 4 mouseketeers tomorrow in Canada?

We will be going for some nice burgers. Someone is probably slaughtering the cow as we speak.

Here is something I have always found slightly peculiar.

There is that reporter named Mark Fainaru-Wada who is best known for talking about steroids. He co-wrote the book Game of Shadows which exposed BALCO and Marion Jones and shit. He now works for ESPN and he is a frequent guest on local radio and his main area of expertise is drugs in sports.

What is peculiar is his name. Fainaru-Wada. It's odd because the international body that deals with drugs in sports is The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). And here is a guy who is always focused on basically the same things as WADA.

So whenever I see/hear his name I am thinking, 'Is the WADA part at the end, just part of a bizarre hyphenated name or is there something going on?" Is he actually a guy named Mark Fainaru who is working with WADA?

But I never hear anyone say, "This is Mark Fainaru from WADA." It's always Mark Fainaru-Wada.

I guess it is just his name but it is quite a coincidence how that all goes. What were the odds?

Boy howdy.

While helping a relative carry a big cooler full of beverages tonight, a cactus plant pierced a vein in my right hand with precision and I bled A LOT for about 6 seconds.

I saw a sparrow today. It made me miss robins. I haven't seen a robin in Vegas. There are pretty much only a few sparrows and a bunch of pigeons. It feels weird to miss robins since when I was back home, I wanted to kill every bird in the world when I was coming down from a coke binge at sunrise, trying to get to sleep, and those little fuckers started chirping.

Cactus? In tropical Florida? Common.

True story, when I first arrived in Saskatchewan I leaned up against a palm tree and a coconut fell and bonked me on the head.
Lesson learned - Saskatchewan palm trees can be dangerous.

LOL as I started to read your post I was going to ask if you would kill one if you saw it. Nevermind.

Maybe once a day I actually laugh out loud reading this site. Today, you win the prize. Oh man what a visual.

Me too. It has thrown me off a few times. Same with when guys put other posters' faces as their avatars. I get rattled.

I like a good stable avatar environment in my advancing years.

I love Capo's. I'm currently using big al's pink capo, as I can't find mine.

I need more guitar picks... Matty, Muddy..... do you guys have a special place to keep your guitar picks? a favorite guitar pick that you never use anymore, but keep for the memories?

I buy and lose picks in bulk. I have a plastic tray thingie that contains hundreds of picks I don't like or use. Those who get used get lost. It's a strange phenomenon.

Need to restock on red Dunlop Jazz III's.

Here is a pic of a little area on top of my piano.

I have no sentimental attachments to any guitar picks. I just grab a Dunlop pick. I prefer the dark gray over the light gray.

Lemme see what that actually means . . .

I prefer the USA NYLON .73 mm over the .60 mm.

I would play with just about anything though. There are a bunch of other junky picks in there that say "Musicians Supply." I'm sure I could entertain myself with one of those. I remember times in the past where, in a pinch, I played guitar using one of those plastic clippy things that seal loaves of bread.

I have a few more supplies in a bag in the piano bench. More harmonicas. Extra pegs. I believe I have a capo down there. I had a bad experience with a capo once. I don't want to talk about it.
