FairWarning Cubs home totals

I'm gonna try an experiment this year. Playing the Pirate games everyday.

and i'm gonna take the pirates over every game from june 1 on.

they have a very shaky bullpen, gas can starters, horrible infield defense and alot of exciting young hitters on their team.

I took the over 67.5 on the Pirates. I see them winning 74-76.

I even took some futures on them just for the hell of it.

I think the cubs will be under machines this year

is this a joke? kevin correia is the pirates opening day starter?

solid 5.40 era last year, that should surely improve the pirates 5.00 era as a team from last year....

archie they are the worst franchise in pro sports.......common

i know you are a fan but they are not winning 76 games this year

they will dump whatever player is doing decent at the trading deadline, just like every other year

Who do they have that teams want?

This just in - Houston and AZ will be worse in the NL.

I'm the one who thinks Cleveland will be a little better this year. I can't go against Edwin at this price though. He's made me a lot of money the last two years.

Yep same here, and after a bit more time under Cooper he should be coming into his own, not nearly as much of a problem with walks in the spring, so if he can get that control he will be a beast.

they don't have anyone to dump this year.

all their important players are under control for 3-5 more years.

they might dump the rentals like Overbay or diaz.... and maybe some bullpen guys or some starters like maholm....

but they will keep their core of Alvarez, McCutch, Walker, Tabata, Jones.

they'll compete in 2-3 years.

they'll have alot of overs this year...

not disputing any of that but they are not increasing their win total from 58 to 76

I actually agree with Archie on this one. Pittsburgh last year was talked about being a sleeper team. They failed miserably. Ever notice that when a team is the "talked about sleeper" the year before, they tend to have a better season the year AFTER? I can see the Pirates winning 75 games this season.
