Will be on a business trip to Cali next week

I'm flying to San Fran. Then I'm driving to Tracy where I would be staying. I have never been there so I don't know how far places are. I think Tracy is an hour's drive from the airport. I can drive to San Fran to meet Freefall.

My first impressions of California:

1. Does the wind ever stop blowing here?
2. The women are hot looking.
3. There are a lot of Bobby Bowden lookalikes here.
4. Spanish is like a first language for many.
5. They never run yellow lights turning into red. This results in many fender benders at intersections.

No and it may be a little cold now, but when it's hotter in the summer the cross winds coming off the ocean are much appreciated.

The state is pushing closer to 50% mexicans every day. Last census I think it was ~40%. You better like Mexican Americans or figure out how to work with them because they will be running this state easily in my life time. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I'm sure it bothers others.

We are meeting with Freefall tomorrow. Looking forward to meet another GL'er!

The wind is still blowing like crazy. Now it all makes sense. I couldn't figure out when I first came here why they have replaced the trees on the hills with giant white fans. So basically this town I'm in is surrounded by giant white fans. I'd bet jjgold would hate visiting here.

It's rural out here. I went to the pool this afternoon and I could hear cows and horses from the farm next to the hotel. Thank God I stayed at a HIE!

The restaurant I had dinner tonight had actual olive trees in the yard..not like the fake ones you see in yappie towns like NYC and Chicago.

I already miss Atlanta traffic. But it looks and feels a lot like back home here. Except they don't speak Greek, watch soccer or eat gyros.
