With my speed, the thought of playing roller hockey, especially defense, scares me.

Again with my speed, the stopping would be a major issue. What kind of floor or surface do you play on? If there any "give or slide" from the floor? Do you use special wheels that allow you to slide a bit? Really curious on this one. Can you take video sometime and post it?

yes there is some give and slide, its not super hard. Some people can almost stop on a dime going at a fast speed, but it's much harder than on ice. I have to be going bellow a certain speed to do it.

Its just the way we started and players we know. Playing outside, alot easier to put together a team, cheaper etc.
Will probably try to play ice league at some point :
