When selling on Kijiji I always include a price.

Inevitably, I will be contacted by someone (usually a brown person with an Indian accent) asking "whats my best price?"

My best price is the price I listed fucko. If you want to make an offer go ahead and try but why the fuck would I list a price only to tell you I'll take something less? Whats the point of listing a price?

I can negotiate, I have skills. What ever happened to haggling or negotiating a sale? Buyers these days want me to list my price and negotiate a price for them? COMMON!

Me: "Item is $100" Buyer: "Whats your best price?" "Oh I dunno, I'll take $10!!" Not.

You dumb cunt.

Also, I've noticed that kijiji sales are an exercise in psychology.

If an item is worth $225 and you list the selling price as $150 no one will pay $150, unless you ask $175 and then they will gladly pay $150.

If you ask $150 you can expect offers in the $100 -$120 range.

This has been my experience.

Also, I make sure to include my cell number in any ad and request buyers contact me directly and not by email. Emails are usually lowball offers and time wasters.

If I get a lowball offer over the phone I usually respond with something like "ok, I'll accept your offer if you can be here in 5 minutes and buy it".

Is Kijiji a Canadian Craig's List?

kijiji is an ebay company, pretty sure its an American thing.

I've used both. After using both I can tell you that craigslist sucks compared to kijiji. I'm converted.

Also, sometimes I'll agree to a price over the phone, then when the buyer shows up they want to renegotiate. Thats a no no. If they never mention a price before showing up then want to haggle in person thats fine but agreeing to something then showing up and looking for a better price afterwards is lame.

ya. I always do a facebook search on the person before I respond. If the person is on facebook (email address) and they look greasy then I won't respond. I also like to meet people when selling shit. I try my best not to get them to come to my house. I'm a paranoid parent.

Renegotiated is the American way.

Also fuck you for altering my quote.
