Also I have learned not to waist too much time, but letting people talk and trying to find a common, earns their trust and business
and makes them more responsive to the caller.

it's more like backhanded calling. Some guy gets suckered in for a quick quote by an internet ad. Of course there is no quote and the guy gets bounced around from one page to another leaving his # or some personal info.
