I was watching this on History channel two, about how they are creating technology that can read and process the minds brainwaves.
It's really interesting. They want to continue to do research to see if you can read thoughts and put them into words or sound.
There was a person on there in a wheelchair, and they hooked up this device to their throat that rain to a computer that read their brainwaves and via that they were able to have the electric wheel chair move where and how they wanted

You should check it out, pretty cool stuff.

Nothing. I turned off the TV permanently. Only took a day and half and Emily seems to gave forgotten it exists. Won't last though as soon as a colombian comes in its getting turned on.

I actually taped Upstairs/Downstairs last night. I had gotten addicted to Downton Abbey - but season 2 ended last week so there is no more for now - but the station is now running Upstairs/Downstairs which is considered a British/period-piece/soap-opera-ish precursor from awhile back (the 70's ??) - so I guess I will watch that later and see if it catches on for me.

Didn't see it coming but apparently I am turning into my granny.

I've been brushing up on a book called Matrix Computations (Golub) for a project that I've been working on.

I don't really watch any TV.

It has to do with genealogy, stem cell research, cross/inter breading,
Its awesome.

Oh I don't ever watch anything anyway besides movies and sports. But, I'd gotten Emily in to the habit of watching tv all day practically. She seems to be better behaved already now that we have had 2 full days of no tv. I'm sure this weekend will set her right back in her old habits. I'm also going to try sleeping on the floor of my office on sat morning.

Also there was a very decent amount of time where the only thing my mother would allow us to watch was educational shows. Something I have carried on with my own children, especially when they are grounded. I don't usually let them watch tv when they are grounded, but if I wanna hang with them while they are on punishment, we will usually watch something educational together in the evenings and then discuss it.
