Remember the old joke when bottled water first came out...Evian spelled backwards is Nave.

I drink bottled water mostly because of convenience. I like Dasani best, but have been buying store brand for a few months. It works.
 
We have a sink in out laundry room. My spray thingy broke in my kitchen last winter so I took the sprayer from the laundry room and replaced the one in the kitchen with it. Still, our tap water is gross, very chlorinated or whatever....I keep thinking about buying one of those filter thingies, but have yet to do that.

Also you can now use purified water for all of your cooking. It makes soups, rice and pasta taste better.

We keep a bunch in glass bottles in the fridge and i get to drink room temperature water, the way I like it.

I clean the filters about every 6 weeks; and the crud that is on them is disgusting.

Supposedly you can even use standing water if you had to; they suggest you put javex in dirty water and then run it through the purifier.

This sounds like a good investment! Include cooking and coffee water of course too, not just drinking it!
 
It really is MrMonkey. A buddy of mine got one and I waited for a year to see how they liked it. After having the Berkey myself for over a year now, it is one of the best things we could have done for our apartment. We used to have to lug 5 gallon bottles in and out of the house, but now we just use tap water and it is one less thing to have to worry about going out and getting.
