to clarify for the masses

The 2008 Mumbai attacks (often referred to as November 26 or 26/11) were more than 10 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai, India's largest city, by Islamic terrorists[5][6] who invaded from Pakistani seawaters.[7] The terrorists who carried out the reconnaissance before the attacks later stated that the attacks were conducted with the support of Pakistan's secret service, the ISI.[8][9] The attacks, which drew widespread global condemnation, began on Wednesday, 26 November 2008 and lasted until Saturday, 29 November, killing 164 people and wounding at least 308.[2][10]

I was living near Delhi during that time. Terrorism (i.e. militancy in Western media) has been in the country for many decades. Heck, 25 people died and about 140 injured in three bomb blasts in Mumbai just three weeks back. It may seem odd but I was not surprised. But, I was pissed that it took 3/4 days to overcome the terrorists. It's a cesspool of home-grown and foreign terrorists, terrorist sympathizers/ enablers, asshole politicians and ill-equipped police. It's a fact of life: similar to high homicide rate in the US. I just avoid the crowds as much as possible keeping the odds in my favor.
