later on (after the movie) el Che goes back to Peru and that's where he hears about what's going on in Guatemala

then comes the Guatemala episode, after they get heat he leaves Guatemala to Mexico where he finally meets fidel castro

and that's where you can start watching the other movie Pavy to continue the story
