LIE: A casino would generate a golden mile on the waterfront.

LIE: Gaming is popular entertainment, and a T.O. casino is about being consumer-responsive

LIE: If we turn this down, the city will be kissing millions in revenue goodbye

LIE: A casino complex would be a world-class destination.

LIE: A casino would enrich Torontos image as a centre of culture, history, entertainment and fun.

LIE: OLG fosters a culture of responsibility about gambling problems.

LIE: A casino complex would embrace the citys existing architecture and urban design.

LIE: Its really all about jobs.

I don't think it would work. The proposed location is awkward - neither local residents or tourists hang out there for fun. It's all hotels and underground malls. Area is deserted after business hours.

Toronto is going to be the shittiest "gaming destination" in the world if they go ahead with it.

Yeah it's a load of bollocks. It would shift some money and jobs around from other places in Ontario but that's about it as far as that goes.

As for the idea of enhancing culture yada yada - oy vay. Nothing like a casino to embrace all the stupidity and ugliness the human race has to offer.

Agreed Matty. The existing casinos in Ontario are a joke...unless you like $30 blackjack and poker rooms with 2 - $1-$2 NLHE tables....

Casino Rama is a big disgusting black box. I've been there once and will likely never go there again.
