You glide like a bird but you don't actually fly like a bird. An eagle can flap its wings and gain altitude. Humans in suits can't.

That sounds.....a little scary and fun at the same time...I guess that is why they enjoy it. How do they land? or control where they are headed?

They carry a parachute, and they can maneuver using their arms and legs once they gain enough airspeed.

What I'd like to know is how much control they have over altitude. Aiming for that hole is one thing, but being at exactly the right altitude at the right time?!?
