going to finally watch the johnny depp version of 'fear & loathing in las vegas' this evening. loved the book but was disappointed in the original movie version despite being a fan of both bill murray and peter boyle.

Suggestion: Watch with the subtitles on. You'll probably get more out of it. Pretty much everything the lawyer says is unintelligible. And he's pure gold.

didn't watch it with subtitles, those things annoy me and take from my concentration of what's on screen.

interesting movie, but not interesting enough to make me want to see it again. not sure how anyone could really make that book into a movie. would only give it a 5/10.

exactly. even girly flicks like eat pray love was a better movie. same with time travlers wife. i have yet to see The Help, but i hear its a better movie than book/...


i think lord of the rings were more captivating as movies than books.

i thought the shining and stand by me (the body) were converted from king's writing into good screen work. but the acting in several others (the stand comes to mind real quick) made them almost unbearable to watch.

the only book that was made into a movie that I've seen/read, where the book was not equal or better to the movie IMO was Forrest Gump.. And that wasn't even close, that book was nothing like the movie. fok you winston groom

I haven't watched a movie in almost 3 years. Love Sons of Anarchy tho.
