i just got a call from the emergency line at the town hall telling us all not to drink our tap water unless we boil it first.

CG allow myself to introduce myself. Xpansive's the name and living down under to hide the shame. Ur predictament sounds rather dodgy. Sucks how in these situations they give u as little info as possible. I mean y would they tell u all to boil ur water? Is it contaminated with raw sewerage or are they just being precautious here?

So long as its not contaminated with an acidic type substance (drawing long straws here) then no reason u cant shower in it. Just do as they say and boil ur drinking water b4hand to rid it of impurities. Yeah it tastes bland as a result but better that than risking a stomach bug...Better to be safe than sorry...My thoughts are with u all at this time...
