I am not too sure about this story but wouldn't surprise me

David Beckham Plans to Build 75,000 Seater Stadium in Miami For His MLS Team

David Beckham is to take his creative midfield skills to new heights by building a stadium, the Sunday People reports.

The former LA Galaxy star couldn’t find a suitable home ground for his new Miami team, due to kick off in 2015.

So the football legend plans to develop his own 75,000-capacity complex, with a hotel and shops. For now the team will use the Sun Life Stadium, former home to the Miami Marlins baseball team.

A source close to David, 38, said: “It’s such an exciting project, he has found some land and it’s pretty much all ready to go.”

Beckham, worth around 135million, was given the option of buying a Major League Soccer franchise for a bargain price of 15.6million when he joined LA Galaxy.

He is sounding out potential *sponsors and is in talks with Bolivian telecoms *billionaire Marcelo Claure.

The pair met last week along with Beckham *manager Simon Fuller. They are expected to *announce the launch within weeks.

The source added: “It will be a special stadium, really up to date. Hopefully it will be used for concerts too. David wants it to be a real spectacle in Miami.”

Speaking of his venture, David said: “I do think there will be a stage when football will explode and will become one of the sports that will challenge basketball, *baseball, American football.”

he has been talked about in the local news greg

i don't know about a 75000 seat stadium, seems kind of too big

It sounds like that bolivian billionaire and beckham want to develop a whole area with shops, restaurants and the stadium. There was a story Lebron James may want to invest in the MLS team in maimi, Lebron already invests in liverpool. Kevin Garnett invests in Roma http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeoza...-james-scoring-with-his-liverpool-investment/

pretty good game in about 30 minutes, going to go with aston villa +.5
