It's not entirely impossible that someone would be willing to take it over and clean it up. Anyone willing to set up a proper shop probably needs at least that amount anyway. What's left of Betislands should try to position itself as a turnkey solution (that's been run by Mickey Mouse types so far.)

Pay the sharps, boot them, tighten all the loose ends and DO WORK.

Yeah, prolly not.

I'm not giving her a hard-time about it, or blaming her.

I just find it hard to believe that she saw the signs of the book collapse coming, yet her colleagues, who arguably are more informed about the CR sportsbook scene, didn't even know about the problems BI were having and took no action until yesterday. Which was after a poster revealed a lot of information.

To be fair to anyone who plays offshore or any forum whether it's SBR, EOG, Covers, Peeps, whatever... my risk tolerance is very low and I've only had decent balances in maybe 4 or 5 offshore books. And that's from countries where gambling is legal. I get freaked out very quickly so what I feel is ominous, others might know as normal. It's not a matter of my knowing anything before anyone else... it's a matter of one time out of 50 that what I was starting to see as ominous turned out to be right. Total fluke. That's why I don't tend to make these threads and when I did, I asked a question and then wanted to wait for verifcation.

I will freely admit I am ABSOLUTELY FUCKING GIDDY! reading the forums the last couple of days watching SBR get raked over the coals.

I still can't believe how naive some SBR posters truly are, people that can't see that the so called "player advocate" site is in bed with books that fuck players and profit from the players they allegedly try to protect.

I'm sure the ban button is getting alot of use, can't have posters pointing out how corrupt SBR really is, some people may wake up and believe it.

Who can afford it? Bookmaker/5dimes. They already have most of those players and probably all of the ones owed the most money. Other than jumping in for good of the industry there is no reason for them to help out. And they obviously don't care about that, see WSEX etc.

Oskana I think you're a good person and wish you a happy tuesday!

I'm sure the guys more financially invested in this industry won't, but such is life.

Would have to be new money for sure, not an existing owner.

Good point. I'm interested in being one of these financial backers. Since apparently you can just pull out whenever you want seems like a good game of tails i win heads you lose.

Thanks FF!!

I don't blame anyone for being pissed at me though. I have no problem copping what comes my way as a result of this mess. I tried to do what I thought was right but it was way too late to matter. I've worked there almost as long as I've been posting here... it's weird for people at times I'm sure and once every few mths I wonder why I bother because my feelings get hurt. It's not cool to get accused of shit that anyone with a clue knows I wouldn't even be privy to discussions about, let alone action. But I also dish out enough garbage that it takes me firmly off the angel list so I can't be a hypocrite. Truly it's all good. :smooch:

You can do that but if they find your head chopped in a ditch don't be surprised.

These pieces of shit live just fine in Escazu right next to all the other scumbags like John. They all send their kids to the same schools.

Oksana, a couple questions for you. Loaded but sincere.

You are wise and aware of your surroundings. You are intuitive and educated enough and I don't think you are naive either. Do you absolutely believe SBR and their ratings and watchdog status is above board, on the level and without prejudice?

Do you not think that some of the people you either work with or for are not opportunist and self-serving or willing to shade the truth as it benefits either their employment or their value to the company?

I'm sure most here (myself without a doubt) have a prejudice towards SBR in one way or another so it can cloud the perception but things just don't appear legit.

Nice "kisses before the slaps". I learned this in first yr uni marketing but I'll play along. :lmao:

If I look at the A+ books at SBR right now, I don't think anyone can dispute them. I absolutely do not believe SBR sells ratings. That guy from 1vice or wtf tried to do it to me, Bill, John, Lou and he was rebuffed each time. That being said, I've actually warmed to him a bit like a crazy uncle purely for creativity. His book's name is auto-filtered there in posts ffs and he has more than enough cash to pay. *I think*

I'm trying to think of who you could even be implying but no, I don't believe this. If you consider that a regular forum relies on affiliate dollars, it does SBR no good to encourage ppl to deposit somewhere that won't be around in 3mths to cut a cheque. There won't be any affiliate dollars to pay out. If anything, SBR would want to redirect you somewhere else should it be so dodgy.

I get why you or anyone else here has it in for SBR. I can only give my experiences. Not earth shattering or life changing but they are what they are.

Ryan Rossi begged to differ today tho, re: buying ratings.

Advertising rates vary on ratings. SBR helped create this book. This isn't a case of being misled.

The same way they help other books steal my money. They do the same to all their employees eventually. Ask ganch, or shawn, or vegas dave.

No slaps Oksana. The questions were loaded only because if you did feel a certain negative way it would be difficult to answer knowing it would be reported back over there.

As I said most here have a bias towards SBR John, some of the employees or SBR as a whole. Mine are mostly personal but part is because I am highly skeptical of any "watchdog" service who is taken sponsorship monies, advertising or joint promotions with those they are supposedly monitoring.

Since Durito's post alerting us to what was going on earlier today I have spent time here and other sites reading post and quotes and while I agree there are plenty of people out there with personal agendas and even loyal members of other forums that would love to paint a black-eye on SBR you can't deny some of the quotes made by SBR John and others sound more spin'ish than heartfelt.
