Actually a comparable comparison would be Florida St beating duke twice, winning the acc, then getting a 3 seed out in Ogden, Utan while Duke gets a 1 seed and plays in Greensboro.

thats kinda not fair... bama beat a half dozen teams that made it to bowl games and with all winning except vandy i think and then revenged the loss to lsu by humiliating them...i dunno, i can see the argument for them not deserving to be there, but its happened before and with other conference teams, so im okay with it...they would close at anywhere from 7-10 pt favs over every team in the nation.

that being said, i think the sec will have an extra target on them next year ... its flawed, we all know... whaddayadoo you bet fuckin hoops, thats what ya dooooo!

Ok st played against 9 teams making a bowl, Bama 7 (Penn St, Arky, UF, Vandy, LSU, Miss St, Auburn), only two of those were anything. Actually a more fair deal would have been to put LSU in the BCS championship game and make Bama play in the SEC game vs Georgia, then if they win, it is a better sell. Unless the sec championship means that much.
