Today is the first day when there has been basically a full card in the NHL when the UNDER in my stat data has been overwhelmingly the favorite. Generally there is a good mix and you feel comfortable with your selections because of the well rounded data.

For someone like me this day was bound to come because I use short term data and with the rash of UNDER’s lately most teams results had to start showing the UNDER trend. The books appear to be making us pay for siding with the UNDER as well as for the most part the price is steep for many of the games.

I’ve been sticking to what has worked and I’ll do the same today and just hope the trend survives another day.

Ducks/Hurricanes UNDER 5.5 (-115)

Hopefully there will be some feedback. Right now I am leaning too Devils/Thrashers and Rangers/Flyers but look forward to seeing some others here chime in.

Muddy, thanks for pointing that out. It was just a typo though, the work was done between Washington and Boston. On my sheet the Islanders are right under this game and when I was typing I just made a mistake.

Geeeeesh, the late rash of goals made us sweat but the UNDER held up and that's all that matters.

I don't know if any of you follow stuff like this or if you are into breaking streaks or maybe rising them out but Vancouver has won 7 straight against Toronto.



I contemplated just playing the remaining options for all the same amount and seeing what happens but I'm such a puss I can't do it. With New Jersey just having played last night I still like the UNDER but I kinda am leery that Atlanta just might score 5 goals on their own. This game could be 3-3 at the end of regulation or 5-1 just as easily as ending 2-1. I think I will pass in favor of.....................
