Altoona is about an hour away form state college, where we first met.
The actual town of Claysburg I live in is abut the same as Clymer.
Altoona is ok, lots of shopping and restaurants. More of a city feel....its ok man, not much special going on there either.
Honestly the main part of Altoona is basically a strip, no sidewalks or anything, you drive everywhere.
Not the worst place in the world, but not my favorite either.

how did you not include the Altoona Curve!!!!!!! AA affiliate of the Pixburgh Pirates

Their ballpark has a HUGH roller coaster behind their right field wall

also SHEETZ started there or has it's HQ there..... near eldorado
 
lakemont park looks fun...lots of museums and other boring shit like that too...some nice golf courses and shit if steveis played golf...also lots of little taverns and hangouts...definitely and upgrade from clymer, imo :yes:

Oh yeah the curve, they are somewhat new, also we plan on checking out a game this week.

It does, it's not that hugh, during Christmas they have it all done up with christmas lights and you can pay like 5 each and drive through and see them. Pretty neat, you can see if from the high way
 
I used to get freaky 2-3 times a month in State College, my home base was somewhere on Fairmount ave. I think it was # 134, shitty ass apartments, you go up the big main street up a big hill and make a scary blind left to get there.... that's about all I remember

The main road you are thinking of is Atherton.

SC is made up of four basic roads, Atherton, College, Beaver, and bluecorse/whitehall.
There are a few other mains, such as westerly parkway(highschool is located along this road), easterlyparkway(same road), university. ext.
As long as you know the main roads, your pretty much good to go, each main road goes from end of town to the other, basically making a large square. And also goes clear out to bellefonte and other surrounding towns.
 
Also I am familiar with the 100 block, 100-300 in the downtownish area usually are nothing great. most of the town is made of apartments, parkforest is one of the nicer areas, and viro among a few other, but they are more so on the outskirts of town.

yes Atherton sounds right... did it have a business route and regular route too? or was that the road before it? 20?

I drove 90 mph's down i-80 from grove city to PSU just about every weekend for about 2 years. always stopped in Phillipsburg for gas
