Bought quite a few Wemby cards a couple weeks back and they are starting to roll in

I got a rookie Prism (Silver) - basically the standard base card for the rookie for $75 in a 4 card Wemby lot

Looks flawless so sending that off as well
A 9 is good and a 10 is great
The population report basically says anything under an 8 is nearly impossible if it looks decent to the eye

It's just what everyone sees as "the rookie" but yeah it's kinda whatever from a aesthetic perspective, agree

Have a Ben Rice rookie auto that I bought for $75 in the office season. Its now selling for $200-250. I feel like the hype is as high as it can be on him now. Like, even if he keeps it up and is a 5+ All Star and eventually even a potential HOFer that ROI is about as good as im getting, no?

If he is a 5-time all star and hall of famer that card will be worth a lot more than $250

Yeah. But if hes just a 5x all star and hall of very good? As a yankee maybe its worth 500? And by definition I'd have to hold for at least 4.5 more years for that. If i want to max MOIC I think taking 2-3x in 6mo is the move.

He's a Yankee, I would hold.

if Rice was a 5X AS on the Yankees with Judge batting behind him, hard telling how high it could go. If he could win a title, you really have something. Personally I would look to buy a 2025 Topps Heritage Real One Auto rookie card, the market loves those.
